Free to air refers to free satellite feeds, these are feeds that do not require a subscription. Most people in the hobby usually pick up tv channels, but it can also include radio. These broadcasts are not encrypted and enables anyone with a satellite dish to pick up these programs.

A Year Later

Dishnetwork had put N3 into effect last June , now almost a year later the N3 has not been hacked. We have heard from some people that have been having success with IKS , not sure how well it is working as i have not set one up. There are lots of rumors of a fix available , but as of now it isn’t.

There are some sites selling NAG3 fixes/files , but these are a SCAM, so far there is no fix so don’t buy into any of that nonsense, as soon as we know there is a fix we will post it here….

I have been watching the progress of issues with the N3 and from what I am seeing the F2A receivers that are connected to the internet are having some success with getting the Network again open on all channels. I have found several places that talk about how it works as well as their resources but I haven’t gotten first hand info on it , but it seems to be working. It depends on the type of receiver that you are using.

I would suggest that you check out some of the manufacturers and see what they are talking about, that way you know first hand what is going on.

Check out our resource page and see what the manufactures have that may work. I plan on investigating this more and reporting back to you my findings ,and until then see what is offered at this time…

I have had this blog up to inform people of what was going on with free to air in how it relates to dishnetwork. When I first learned about free 2 air I was intrigued and did lots of searches on what it was and how it worked. I spent countless hours researching it. It was all available on the internet but nothing was in any sort of understandable order.

So I figured that if it took me that much time to research it that there were other people that had the same interest and didn’t want or have the time to do it themselves. So as a result I did write a manual about everything that i found about the free 2 air systems it covers the history how it works as well as what was going on with hacking DN and I decided to give the manual away for free, why to save someone some time, and it is informative , if this interests you.

This was no different , so i wrote the manual and selling it to give to you in one place in a convenient manner, or feel free to research it yourself, you will see what i am talking about, you will get pieces of information here and there…
